Visit to Suresh in Bern

From the street, the view of Suresh – at least in warmer months – is somewhat shielded by green bamboo plants. The interior of the restaurant is modern.
I had a very good impression already when making the reservation, as the gentleman on the phone was very friendly. The service in the restaurant is also warm and straightforward. If you check online beforehand, you’ll see that the menu at Suresh is deliberately kept small. There are typical Swiss dishes like Cordon Bleu or Schweinsbratwurst, but also curries or pasta. For sure, everyone will find something they like.
The pumpkin soup tasted good, but it wasn’t necessarily a visual highlight. It was not pureed into a creamy consistency. The veal Cordon Bleu was very delicious – with melting cheese, flavorful vegetables, and fresh fries – very tasty! Just as it should be!
There are only a few wines on the menu, but the ones we ordered were very good! One bottle we ordered was even the last one of that variety. They were served a little cooler, but that’s a good thing. The wine can sit on the table and warm up a bit.
The coffee had a very strong flavor. The limoncello we ordered had to be cooled with an ice cube to reach the right temperature.
Everything came together perfectly during our visit, which is why we had a great experience at Suresh!
