Since you can drink great beer at Barbière, you will not be alone in this place. But so far we've always found a place to sit somehow without making a reservation. After arriving, you best go to the counter and have a look at the beer menu - because the beers on tap change frequently. You can choose between different styles of beer - for example Lager, IPA, Stout or sour beer.

There's an urban crowd in Barbière, especially people living in the Breitenrain "Breitsch" quarter. You are going to see students, parents with their kids, business men and other types. What they share is their thirst for a great beer at Barbière.
Service
The staff is very friendly and likes to offer information about the different beers. If you're not sure which beer you want, the staff will offer you a gulp in order to help you decide. Once you've chosen your beer you go back to your table or seat and the waiter will bring you your beer.
Selection at Barbière in Bern
Barbière doesn't just offer ordinary beers. The brewers do a great job at creating great beer at Barbière. This time Barbière featured "Oyster stout", which contains aroma from real oysters. You could also drink a "Pseudo Lager", which tasted like a lager even though it was an overbearing beer. Barbière makes sure that customers can enjoy one of my favorite beer style - which is sour beer. This time the sour beer was Aprigose, a Gose beer with slight apricot taste.
Besides beer, you can also treat yourself other drinks like Wine or switch to non-alcoholic beverages like Ice Tea. At lunchtime, Barbière serves daily specials, also without meat. In the evening, you will get small dishes like cold cut platters, with or without cheese.

Reachable from the Bern Main Station with Tram Nr. 9 and a 3 Minutes walk, the Restaurant is not that far from the city center. It is in the Breitenrain quarter of Bern.
