Visit to Suresh in Bern
From the street, the view of Suresh – at least in warmer seasons – is slightly obscured by green bamboo plants. The interior of the restaurant presents itself as modern.
I already had a great impression when making the reservation, as the gentleman on the phone was very friendly. The service in the restaurant is also warm and uncomplicated. If you look online beforehand, you’ll see that Suresh’s menu is intentionally kept concise. There are typically Swiss dishes like Cordon Bleu or pork bratwurst, but also curries or pasta. In any case, everyone will find something they like.
The pumpkin soup tasted good but wasn’t exactly a visual highlight. Somehow it wasn’t creamy. The veal Cordon Bleu was very tasty – with melting cheese, flavorful vegetables, and fresh fries. Just as it should be!
The menu doesn’t have many wines, but the ones we ordered were very tasty. One bottle we ordered was even the last of its kind. They were served slightly cool, which is actually a plus. The wines can then warm up a bit on the table.
The coffee had a very intense flavor. The limoncello we ordered alongside needed an ice cube to reach the optimal temperature.
During our visit, everything came together perfectly. That’s why we had a wonderful experience at Suresh!
