Culinary Highlights with Crostini and Risotto with Truffles
The risotto with black truffle was our main course. The absolute highlight of our visit: even as it was served, the fine truffle aroma filled the room. The risotto was perfectly creamy with slightly al dente rice. The truffle pieces cooked in gave the dish a deep flavor base, while freshly shaved truffles completed the aroma. A prime example of Italian culinary art.
When the waiter brought the desserts from the display case after the main course, I couldn’t resist. I chose a lemon tart with meringue. It had a shortcrust pastry base, filled with fruity lemon cream and topped with airy meringue. The balance of sweetness and refreshing acidity was perfectly achieved by Ristorante Lorenzini Bern.
I also got to try a piece of tiramisu from a tablemate, which was very airy and creamy.
