Restaurant Eleven is located in the Wankdorf Stadium building. That’s why the restaurant is called “Eleven,” derived from the 11 football players on a soccer team. Actually, it should be called Ristorante Eleven, since classic Italian cuisine is served. A visit to Restaurant Eleven Bern promises a culinary experience with authentic Italian cuisine in a modern setting.
Our Visit Experience at Restaurant Eleven Bern
Eleven at Wankdorf Center welcomes guests with a modern and spacious ambiance. Customers are pampered with comfortable bench seating, while the engaged and natural service ensures a pleasant atmosphere.
Culinarily, I started with a kohlrabi soup with bacon, where the strong bacon flavor dominated and the kohlrabi was less noticeable. For my main course, I chose the chicken saltimbocca, which was served piping hot and impressed with juicy meat. The risotto was perfectly al dente and pleasantly fluid, just as it should be. It was accompanied by a tomato ragout that wonderfully complemented the chicken and risotto in flavor.
The dessert, a tiramisu, was served as a small portion – which everyone at the table preferred. The motto being better small and fine than too big and expensive. For the restaurant’s prime location, the prices are reasonable – a great value for money.
During football matches, Eleven is usually very busy, so a reservation is strongly recommended. It’s best to book a table early.
