Our Visit Experience at Restaurant Brunnhof
Restaurant Brunnhof is tucked away in the quiet Brunnhof quarter and is recognizable mainly by its imposing chestnut trees. These trees aren’t just a landmark but also invite you to take a seat on the terrace. The furnishings there are kept simple, with plain garden furniture, which gives the place an unpretentious and cozy charm.
The service from a Portuguese waiter was very authentic and friendly, showing pride in the cuisine of his home country. He was happy to tell us more about the background of the dishes. The centerpiece of our meal was the pre-ordered “Terra e Mare” platter.
After a somewhat longer wait, the extensive “Terra e Mare” platter was brought to our table. It featured garlic shrimp, king prawns, salmon, fish fillets, clams, pork chops, beef steak, and sausage. Served on the same platter were oven-baked potatoes and country fries.
Overall, Restaurant Brunnhof offers a relaxed atmosphere with honest, down-to-earth Portuguese cuisine.
