Culinary journey through Greece

Small Greek salad in a white bowl: tomatoes, cucumber, purple olives, feta and two pita breads.

As starter, we ordered the Greek salad that is included in the lunch menu. The juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, purple olives and a piece of feta cheese instantly gave us vacation vibes. Two small pita breads were the perfect side.

As main course, I chose pork gyros (also available with chicken or as a vegetarian option). The marinated meat was served on a round pita, topped with green leaves and onions, and came with thick golden fries and tzatziki. The meat was lean, well‑spiced and reminded me of barbecue. The fries were fresh and crunchy, and the tzatziki added a garlicky‑herb note.

Greek semolina cake on an elegant plated serving, topped with nuts, a mint leaf and two half orange slices; moist and tender.

Because I still had room, I added a Greek semolina cake. It was plated nicely with nuts, a mint leaf and two half orange slices. The cake was moist, tasting like a delicious simple sponge cake.
