The restaurant La Tribuna de Calvo in Bern serves authentic Spanish cuisine. Alongside tapas, it offers a generously garnished paella. Even though the restaurant is located in the clubhouse of FC Holligen, the food is excellent. A visit is definitely worth it!

Visit to La Tribuna de Calvo in Bern
Since we wanted to have Paella, we reserved our table and pre-ordered the dish. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted with a handshake.
The interior of La Tribuna is very simple. Most of the guests speak Spanish, and the staff also speaks Spanish, making you feel almost like you're in Spain.
We started by ordering several tapas to share, including Jamon and Croquetas. Additionally, the chef offered us a salad, which we really appreciated. Then, the Paella arrived at the table in a large pan. Although there were three of us, the Paella could easily have served six people. It was very hearty, just as it should be, with shrimp, small clams, mussels, calamari rings, and chicken. The rice was perfectly cooked—slightly al dente. All of this made the Paella absolutely delicious—just the way I like it!
It’s also worth noting that the wines are extremely affordable, yet still of good quality. After the meal, we treated ourselves to Carachillos, which is coffee with brandy. My dining companions also had some brandy afterward, which I skipped. When the bill came, we were offered a Spanish herbal liqueur, which I really enjoyed.

Directions to La Tribuna de Calvo
From Bern station, it's best to take bus number 12 towards "Holligen" and get off at the Holligen stop. From there, it's about a 2-minute walk to La Tribuna de Calvo.
