Celina Bern combines classic Italian cuisine with steakhouse qualities – a combination rarely found in Bern. Our multiple visits have shown: Celina is more than a typical Italian restaurant.
Dining Experience at Ristorante Pizzeria Celina Bern
Celina is located on Nordring in the Lorraine quarter – a neighbourhood known for its multicultural vibrancy. From the outside, the restaurant looks unassuming, but upon entering, a surprisingly spacious room opens up. The wooden tables are far enough apart to have undisturbed conversations – something I particularly appreciate when meeting with friends. The interior is elegantly yet cosily decorated, with lots of gleaming wood and carefully set tables with upholstered chairs.
The service at Celina is consistently attentive and warm – the staff take time for personal conversations without being intrusive.
One of the Best Pizzas in Bern
According to the website, the pizzas at Celina are baked in a wood-fired oven. From eateryfinds.com’s perspective, the pizzas are among the best in Bern. Visually, they are eye-catchers – with a slightly charred edge from the wood-fired oven, beautifully red pizza sauce, the right amount of cheese, and colourful toppings. The service is also flexible if the guest wants, for example, fewer olives.
Main Course Saltimbocca
The combination of the spicy sauce, fried Parma ham, sage, and veal is a flavour experience! Together with the creamy risotto, which still had a bit of bite, it felt like being in Italy.
