As you approach Ambiente Bern, the spacious terrace is immediately noticeable, surely inviting you to linger on warmer days.

Well-Kept Ambience for Italian Delights

Upon entering Ristorante Ambiente, you immediately feel the familiar atmosphere of an Italian restaurant. The interior is fittingly furnished, with upholstered chairs and neatly set wooden tables. Large windows let in plenty of light.

Reliable Service and Affordable Highlights

The service at Ristorante Ambiente was initially a bit serious. But the initial distance thawed over the course of the meal, becoming warmer and more communicative. Ristorante Ambiente’s offering is broad, ranging from wood-fired pizza to pasta and meat dishes. At lunchtime, there are also various menus, including a pizza menu and a weekly hit.

I opted for the weekly hit, which began with a small mixed salad. It was fresh and contained green leaf lettuce, carrots, cucumber, corn, and a tomato.

The main course was a pork sirloin steak with mushroom cream sauce, vegetables, and noodles. The sirloin was perfectly cooked and wonderfully juicy. Two generous pieces were served. The cream sauce was flavourful, rich with fresh mushrooms, and harmonised perfectly with the fine grilled aroma of the meat. The lunch menu for under CHF 30 was an honest and fair price for the quality and quantity offered.

The meal was rounded off with a small tiramisu as dessert, which the house simply treated us to – thank you!
